One Less Gun: Four Handguns, One Shotgun and Ammunition Recovered After Search Warrant in Dorchester

At approximately 1:03 A.M., officers from the Boston Police Youth Violence Strike Force executed a search warrant at 93 Devon Street, Apartment 3, Dorchester. The search warrant was issued after officers made observations of a male who was believed to be carrying a firearm run into the residence in an attempt to evade officers conducting the investigation. During the course of the search, officers recovered four handguns and a shotgun from the apartment. Also recovered were several rounds of ammunition for each of the guns. Based on the recovery of the weapons and information learned during this investigation, charges are expected to be sought against the target of the investigation. 

This gun seizure brings the total number of guns recovered by the Boston Police through the Buy Back efforts and the efforts of the men and women of the Boston Police Department in 2014 to 1058 guns.
