Daily Dose of Great Police Work: Officers Arrest Two Juveniles for Armed Robbery in Dorchester

At about 10:20 PM, on Friday, December 5, 2014 Officers from District C-11 (Dorchester) responded to a radio call for an armed robbery at 481 Washington Street (KFC Restaurant).

Upon arrival, officers observed a group of about 7 - 8 young teens walking away from the KFC restaurant. At which time, a male victim ran up to and informed the officers they were the group who attempted to rob him moments earlier. The victim stated that, while walking home, he was approached by the group of 7-8 teens (males and females) in front of the KFC. The victim reported two of the young males demanded his cell phone and wallet while one of them pointed a knife at him. The victim further reported he had to swing a plastic bag which contained three cans of beer at the group in order to fight them off.

As officers approached the group, several attempted to flee on foot but were quickly detained at Claybourne and Park Streets. A bring back procedure was conducted and, as a result, witnesses on scene positively identified two of the suspects. A black pocket knife was seized as evidence.

Officers arrested two male juveniles: a 17 year-old from Dorchester and a 15 year old from Randolph. Both were charged with Delinquent to wit: Armed Robbery (Knife). The 15 year-old had additional charges of Delinquent to wit: Resisting Arrest and Assault and Battery on a Police Officer.
