Daily Dose of Great Police Work: Lack of Tail Lights Leads to Arrest of One and the Recovery of a Stolen Vehicle

 

At about 1:06 AM, Tuesday, February 4, 2014 while on patrol, officers from District C-11 (Dorchester) made an onsite arrest in the area of Geneva Avenue and Oakley Street in Dorchester.

While on patrol in the area, officers observed a gray Honda to be traveling at a high rate of speed as well as not having the tail lights illuminated. Officers queried the license plate and received a stolen vehicle response. Officers initiated a traffic stop in the area of Geneva Ave. and Oakley St. As officers questioned the operator, he stated that the vehicle belonged to a friend, but when officers asked the operator to provide more information about his friend, he was unable to do so. Officers informed the operator that the vehicle had been reported stolen from Cambridge.

Arrested was Seneca Johnson, 37, of Dorchester. Johnson is charged with Receiving a Stolen Motor Vehicle and Operating a Motor Vehicle without a License.
