On Friday, February, 7, 2014, at approximately 11:37am, Boston Police Officers assigned out of Area B-3 (Mattapan), responded to 617 Morton Street, Mattapan for a report of a person shot.
Upon arrival, Officers located a 9 year old male, in the apartment, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was transported to Boston Medical Center Pediatrics, where he was pronounced deceased.
Police are presently investigating the incident as an accidental shooting involving the victim’s 14 year old brother.
