One Less Gun: One Arrest, One Illegal Firearm & Drugs Recovered in Dorchester

At about 10:51 AM on Tuesday, March 25, 2014, members of the Boston Police Neighborhood Drug Control Unit executed a search warrant in the area of 100 Maple Street in Dorchester (District B-2). Officers recovered 18 individually packaged plastic bags containing crack cocaine and a loaded black and silver 9mm firearm. The firearm contained one spent round in the chamber and was loaded with a magazine that contained twelve 9mm rounds of ammunition. An additional magazine loaded with thirteen rounds of ammunition was also recovered. 

Charles Skinner, 59, of Dorchester was arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Armed Career Criminal Level III, Possession of a Large Capacity Feeding Device, Possession W/Intent to Distribute Class "B" Substance (Subsequent Offense).
