Daily Dose of Great Police Work: Officers Arrest Two in the area of 840 Harrison Ave

At about 4:00 PM, Sunday, March 2, 2014, officers from District D-4 (South End) responded to a radio call for known trespassers in the area of 840 Harrison Avenue in the South End.

On arrival, officers observed a male and a female individual in the area. When officers approached the individuals to ask what medical business they had at the hospital, to which the male suspect responded with obscenities. It should be noted that the area in which the two suspects were loitering is surrounded by a tall, black, metal fence along with multiple NO TRESPASSING signs. The two suspects are known to officers for having previous trespassing related offenses. Neither suspect was able to produce a form of identification, nor provide officers with a reason for being on the property. Following a brief struggle, in which the male suspect repeatedly attempted to grab a knife from his pocket, officers were able to place both suspects under arrest. Officers recovered a folding knife and drug paraphernalia along with an identification card and a credit card, both with different names, neither matching those of the suspects.

Arrested was Frederick Stempka, 30, of Boston and Rachel Richardi, 28, of Randolph. Stempka is charged with Dangerous Weapons, Unlawfully Carried, Disorderly Conduct, and Trespassing, while Richardi is charged with Buying, Receiving, or Concealing Stolen Goods.
