Daily Dose of Great Police Work: Officers Arrest Two for Assault and Battery in the area of 279 Tremont St.

 

At about 1:24 AM, Saturday, March 8, 2014, officers from District A-1 (Downtown) responded to a radio call for a fight in the area of 279 Tremont Street (Royale Nightclub) in the Downtown area.

On arrival, officers spoke to the victim who stated that while he was on the dance floor, he had several drinks thrown at him. When the victim looked to the upper level of the club to see who had been throwing the drinks, he observed the two male suspects who continued to throw drinks at him. While making his way to the upper level of the club, the victim was approached by the suspects on the stairs. One of the suspects then confronted the victim and an altercation ensued in which the victim was punched and kicked numerous times by both of the suspects. Security, taking notice of the incident, immediately stepped in and separated the parties involved, further detaining the suspects until officers arrived. Officers immediately placed the two suspects under arrest.

Arrested was Christopher Learnard, 31, of Hooksett, NH, and Peter McNamara, 41, of Dracut. Both are charged with Assault and Battery by Means of a Dangerous Weapon – Shod Foot, and Assault and Battery.
