At about 1:00 AM, Monday, April 14, 2014, officers from District B-2 (Roxbury) responded to a radio call for a person shot in the area of Dabney Street and Regent Streets in Roxbury.
On arrival, officers located a male victim suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The male victim was transported to the Boston Medical Center where he was later pronounced deceased. He has since been identified as James Mason, 45, of Roxbury.
The Boston Police Department is actively investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident. Anyone with information is asked to call the Boston Police Homicide Unit at (617) 343-4470.
