This year the tournament was held at the Boston Athletic Club in South Boston on Saturday, May 10, 2014 and raised over $280,000 to be donated to the Joslin Diabetes Center. Superintendent Fitzgerald and his wife founded the fundraiser when their daughter Caroline was diagnosed with diabetes at the age of 8. The event featured a whiffle ball tournament for all ages, raffles, prizes, a petting zoo, and a barbeque. Also in attendance among the 500 participants was former New England Patriot tight end Jermaine Wiggins.
