On Wednesday, May 14, 2014, students from the Timilty Middle School's Promising Pals Program, were treated to a tour of BPD Headquarters. The Promising Pals Program was designed to formulate a bond between community leaders and the city's youth. The program, established in 1986, has enhanced literacy and writing skills as well as provides an opportunity for young people to meet positive role models. The students received a tour of the Boston Regional Intelligence Center, the BPD Crime Lab and the city's Operations office! Each segment of the tour was guided by the Bureau Chiefs of each unit (Deputy Kelly Nee, Superintendent Paul Fitzgerald and Deputy Michael Cox). After their tour was completed, the students were treated to lunch in the Commissioner's Conference Room with Commissioner Evans and Superintendent Kevin Buckley (pictured).
