Boston Police Seeking Public’s Help in Efforts to Identify Two Suspects Wanted in Connection to an Assault & Battery in Brighton Leaving the Victim with Life Threatening Injuries

At about 12:38am, on Saturday, May 17, 2014, officers from District D-14 (Brighton) responded to a call to assist a person who had been assaulted in the area of 1350 Commonwealth Ave in Brighton.  On arrival, officers spoke to the victim’s friend who stated that two individuals jumped and attacked his friend. The suspects are described as two black males, both approximately 6’0” tall with medium builds. One of the suspects was wearing a dark blue hooded sweatshirt while the other suspect was seen wearing a burnt red t-shirt and a red hat with the letter ‘C’ imprinted on it. The red hat may have been a Cincinnati Reds hat. 

The victim, suffering head trauma, was transported to Brigham & Women’s Hospital for treatment of what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries. However, once at the hospital, the victim’s injuries worsened and his condition and the nature of his injuries were elevated to life threatening status.

The Boston Police Department is actively investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident. Anyone with information or may have been in the area at the time of the assault is asked to call the Boston Police Homicide Unit at (617) 343-4470.
