Daily Dose of Great Police Work: Drugs Recovered and Three Charged for Trafficking Drugs in South Boston

At about 8:15 Am on Thursday, May 22, 2014, members of the District C-6 (South Boston) Drug Control Unit executed two search warrants--one in the area of Bartlett & Dudley Streets in Roxbury and one in the area of 25 Highland Avenue in Roxbury. The warrants were issued and executed as a result of an ongoing drug investigation of individuals whom officers knew to be distributing heroin in the D Street, Old Colony, and Old Harbor areas of South Boston. The warrants produced the following evidence:

  •  Three plastic bags containing approximately 60 grams of a substance believed to be heroin
  • Over $2,800 in U.S. paper currency
  • Drug paraphernalia
  • One medium plastic bag and 9 one-inch plastic bags of a substance believed to be marijuana

Thirty-one-year-old Angel Maldonado of Roxbury was arrested and charged with Trafficking Class A Substance (28-99 Grams), Possession with Intent to Distribute Class D Substance, and Unlawful Presence of Heroin. Twenty-eight-year-old female Brendley Rodriguez of Roxbury was charged with the same. 

Thirty-two-year-old Angel Santiago of Mattapan was arrested and charged with Trafficking Class A Substance (28-99 Grams).
