At about 8:09 PM on Monday, June 9, 2014, officers from District E-13 (Jamaica Plain) responded to a radio call for a robbery in progress at the entrance of the Arnold Arboretum.
On arrival, officers spoke with the two victims who stated that as they exited the Arboretum they were approached by three unknown Hispanic males. The two males were positively identified. Officers were able to recover all of the victim’s possessions as well as a cell phone belonging to another victim.
Officers arrested 20-year-old Cesar Lara-Aguasvivas of Dorchester as well as a 14-year-old juvenile male of Dorchester. Both are charged with Armed Robbery and Buying, Receiving, or Concealing Stolen Goods.
