Let’s face it, a safety day would not be the same without the Retired Boston Police Officers Association and Operation Code Blue. Simply put, they take a good day and make it even better. Today at the District C-11 Summer Safety Day & Bike Rodeo, Rich Doyle and his crew were on hand to conduct Operation Code Blue which is a child safety identification program that provides parents an opportunity to have their kids fingerprinted and photographed for free. The super useful child safety information is then given to parents to be kept in the event of an emergency. To date, the Retired Boston Police Officers Association has printed hundreds and hundreds of kids and, again, they are a welcome sight at any Boston Police sponsored event.
