Daily Dose of Great Police Work: Officers Arrest Two and Recover Knife in the area of 6 Dunkeld Street

 

At about 12:04 AM on Thursday, June 26, 2014, officers from District B-2 (Roxbury) responded to a radio call for a motor vehicle accident in the area of 6 Dunkeld Street in Dorchester.

On arrival, officers spoke to a witness on scene who stated that white Honda Accord had struck a Toyota Corolla. Officers approached the operator of the Accord in an effort to obtain additional information about the incident. At this time, officers spoke to the operator of the Accord who stated that he did not possess a license. As officers were speaking to the operator, they were alerted by several individuals who stated that the one of the individuals was in possession of a knife. The passenger then exited the vehicle per the officer’s commands as the knife was secured. Further witnesses stated that after hearing what sounded like a car accident, they approached the suspects who then became both verbally and physically threatening at one point waving the knife at the witnesses.

Officers arrested 23-year-old Tracy Coleman of Dorchester and charged him with Assault by means of a Dangerous Weapon – Knife. Officers also arrested 26-year-old Stacy Coleman of Dorchester and charged him with Operating a M/V Without a License.
