At about 1:53pm, on Sunday, June 29, 2014, officers from District A-7 (East Boston) responded to a call to check on the well-being of a resident living at 232 Brandywine Drive in East Boston. On arrival, officers observed a male inside the location suffering from what appeared to be multiple gunshot wounds. The victim, a male in his mid-thirties, was pronounced deceased on the scene. The victim has since been identified as Walter Cook, 38, of East Boston.
