BPD Investigate Fatal Pedestrian Accident in Area of River & Washington Streets in Dorchester

 

At about 5:15 AM on Saturday, July 12, 2014, officers from District C-11 (Dorchester) responded to a radio call for a motor vehicle accident at the corner of River and Washington Streets, Dorchester.

Upon arrival, officers observed a pedestrian had been struck by a motor vehicle. The 32-year-old female victim was transported by Boston EMS to Carney Hospital with life-threatening injuries. The victim later succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased at the hospital. The operator of the vehicle that struck the pedestrian remained on the scene and made himself known to police.
