At about 4:30 PM on Monday, August 4, 2014, members of the Citywide Drug Control Unit executed two search warrants in the area of 44 Moreland Street in District B-2 (Roxbury).
Upon arrival, officers knocked and announced their presence before making a forced entry into the residence. Both search warrants were executed without further incident. Officers recovered 7 plastic bags of a substance believed to be crack cocaine, various drug paraphernalia, over $2,000 in US currency, various ammunition, and an ASUEX Model 9x19 mm firearm.
Thirty-five-year-old James Coleman of Roxbury was arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, and Possession with Intent to Distribute Class B Drugs.
