At about 9:14 AM on Tuesday, September 16, 2014 members of the Drug Control Unit executed a search warrant and arrested five individuals in the area of Tina Ave in Hyde Park. Upon making a peaceful entry, officers were able to recover the following items during their search of the residence:
- 1 plastic bag containing approx. 96 grams of heroin
- 1 plastic bag containing approx.154 grams of heroin
- 1 plastic bag containing approx. 22 grams of heroin
- 6 plastic bags containing marijuana
- US Currency in excess of $10,000.00
Officers arrested 21-year-old Rhodrick Adino, of Hyde Park, 29-year-old Roberto Rodriguez, of Hyde Park, 37-year-old Rosa Santana-Ruiz, of Hyde Park, 37-year-old Angel Arias of Hyde Park, and a 17-year-old male juvenile also of Hyde Park. All are charged with Trafficking Class A Drugs Over 200 grams. The juvenile target of the investigation faces an additional charge of Possession with intent to Distribute Class D Drugs. Further investigation revealed that Roberto Rodriguez was using a false name resulting in several additional charges including Furnishing a False Name, Forged/False Registry Documents, and Identity Theft. The Department for Children and Families was also notified regarding a minor who was present in the residence.
