BPD Homicide Detectives Travel to New York to Track Down Murder Suspect Wanted in Connection to Death Investigation in the area of 1542 Columbus Ave - At about 6:00pm, on Sunday, July 13, 2014, officers from District B-2 (Roxbury) responded to a call for a body found in area of 1542 Columbus Avenue. Upon arrival, officers located the body of an unknown female in the wooded area along the fence line adjacent to 1542 Columbus Avenue. The victim has since been identified as Pippin Roe, 40, of Boston.

After a complete and thorough investigation, detectives assigned to the Boston Police Homicide Unit were able to ascertain the identity of the individual believed to be responsible for the death of Ms. Roe. On Friday, January 16, 2015, detectives assigned to the Boston Police Homicide Unit applied for and were granted an arrest warrant charging Ritcher Baez, 24, of New York with Murder in connection to the death of Pippin Roe.

Today, Monday, January 19, 2015, members of the Boston Police Department’s Fugitive Apprehension & Homicide Units with help from NYPD Detectives located and apprehended the suspect, Ritcher Baez, in New York City.
