Thank You for Thanking Us: Students from the Eliot Innovation School Show their Support for Boston's Finest

Thank You for Thanking Us: The National Fraternal Order of Police recently called upon and encouraged community members all across our great country to designate and use January 9th as a day to appreciate and thank their local police officers and a group of 5th graders from Boston gladly took them up on the offer. In fact, earlier today, Friday, January 9, 2015, thirty-five 5th graders from the Eliot Innovation School in Boston stopped by the District A-1 (Downtown) Police Station located at 40 New Sudbury Street to offer, show and voice their support for the men and women of the BPD. Said District A-1 Captain Ken Fong: “I can’t thank the teachers and students from the Eliot School enough for their visit to our station. For them to take the time out of their busy school schedules to draw up cards and personally deliver them in a successful effort to thank our officers was greatly appreciated and warmly received by all of the officers assigned to District A-1. And, again, on behalf of all of my officers, we can’t thank the students from the Eliot School enough for their thoughtful and kind gesture.”
