UPDATE -Community Alert: BPD Seeking Public’s Assistance in Identifying Person of Interest Relative to Sexual Assault in the Area of Dorchester Avenue and Harbor View Street

At about 11:00 PM on Sunday, September 27, 2015, officers from District C-11 (Dorchester) responded to a radio call for a sexual assault in the area of Dorchester Avenue and Harbor View Street, Dorchester.

Upon arrival, officers spoke to the victim who stated that a suspect robbed her at knife point then sexually assaulted her. The suspect is described as a black male in his 20’s with a medium build, short black curly hair, and a small amount of facial hair. The suspect was wearing dark clothing and fled on foot in the direction of Sydney Street.

The Boston Police Sexual Assault Unit is looking to identify the person of interest shown in the above video in connection to these incidents. Detectives urge the public to watch the video closely and note the individual’s gait and general appearance, particularly noting the individual’s braided hair style and what appears to be a two-toned jacket/hoodie. Detectives believe the person of interest could also be operating a dark colored SUV, possibly a late model Acura. This person is NOT wanted at this time.
