Honoring the Fallen: Officer Dennis Simmonds Added to the Massachusetts Law Enforcement Memorial

On Friday October 16, 2015, nine names were added to the Massachusetts Law Enforcement Memorial including that of Boston Police Officer Dennis Simmonds.  The memorial is in honor of the 357 law enforcement officers from Massachusetts who have died in the line of duty.  In a ceremony held outside the State House, Commissioner William Evans read the names of the fallen and Detective Cecil Jones, President of the Massachusetts Law Enforcement Memorial Foundation, addressed the crowd, reminding them, “Each name on this memorial represents a hero.”
