INCIDENT #1: At about 11:30 PM on Monday, December 21, 2015, a concerned citizen walked into the District C-11 (Dorchester) Neighborhood Station with a trash bag filled with live rounds of ammunition.
The citizen stated he found the bag in a trash barrel near 17 Centervale Park and immediately brought them to the police station. Officers received the ammunition and submitted the 226 live rounds into evidence.
INCIDENT #2: At about 4:45 AM on Tuesday, December 22, 2015, officers from the District B-2 (Roxbury) Drug Control Unit and members of Boston's elite SWAT Team executed a search warrant in the area of 4 Burton Avenue.
Upon searching the residence, officers recovered various paraphernalia consistent with the packaging and selling of drugs, approximately 2 grams of cocaine, approximately $1,300 in US currency, and a loaded RG Industries .22 caliber revolver.
Officers arrested 25-year-old Marcus Claiborne of Roxbury for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, and Possession with Intent to Distribute Class B Drugs (Cocaine).
INCIDENT #3: At about 5:30 AM on Tuesday, December 22, 2015, members from the City-Wide Drug Control Unit arrested a suspect for firearm related offenses in the area of Montague Street in District C-11 (Dorchester).
While conducting an investigation, officers observed an individual exit a residence. The male was displaying signs of paranoia—frantically looking around in all directions, crossing the street numerous times, and inexplicably changing directions. Due to this nervous behavior, officers attempted to speak with the male. When officers approached, the male clutched his side and made an attempt to flee the area. Fearing the presence of a firearm, officers conducted a frisk and recovered a loaded silver .22 caliber Beretta firearm.
Officers arrested 27-year-old Raymond Hawkins of Dorchester and charged him with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, and Carrying a Loaded Firearm.
