UPDATE: Authorities Apprehend Suspect Wanted in Connection to Construction Site Robbery at 1 Nashua Street

Less than 24 hours after appealing to the public for help in identifying an individual (see photo) wanted for questioning in connection to a recent robbery of a construction site, that individual is in police custody. Earlier this morning, Tuesday, December 29, 2015, at approximately 8:30am, officers from the MBTA Transit Police located and apprehended Matthew LaChance, 32, of Swansea. LaChance is charged with Receiving Stolen Goods, Larceny Over $250.00 and Trespassing. As the investigation continues, additional charges could be pending. LaChance was wanted in connection to an incident which occurred approximately two weeks ago. On Monday, December 14, 2015, officers from District A-1 (Downtown) took a report for a breaking and entering at the Moriarty construction site located at 1 Nashua Street in Boston. Officers spoke to a representative from Moriarty Construction who stated that the site had been broken into and a review of the site showed a large supply of welding leads and copper missing from the site. According to the victim, total value of the missing materials was estimated to be in the area of $20,000.
