At about 10:30 PM on Saturday, December 5, 2015, officers assigned to District C-6 (South Boston) responded to a radio call for a person shot in the area of 425 Old Colony Avenue.
On arrival, officers located a male victim suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was later pronounced deceased. A motor vehicle was observed fleeing the scene at a high rate of speed and it appeared as though the occupants of the car were changing their clothes as they fled.
A short time later, officers assigned to District C-11 (Dorchester) located a motor vehicle matching the given description in the area of Elm Street. Officers were able to place three male suspects in custody in connection to the incident. Officers also recovered a firearm which they believe was used in the crime. The investigation remains active and charges have not been formally announced.
Commissioner Evans stated "I'm grateful that we were able to get those responsible for this senseless act. We have three suspects in custody at this time because of the outstanding work of my officers and their quick response."
