Boston Police Arrest Suspect Wanted in Connection to Non-Fatal Stabbing at the TD Garden: At about 9:45pm, on Wednesday, March 12, 2015, officers from District A-1 (Downtown) responded to a call for a person stabbed inside the TD Garden during last night’s game between the Boston Celtics and Memphis Grizzlies. On arrival, officers located a male victim, in his early twenties, suffering from what appeared to be a stab wound. The victim, suffering from non-life threatening injuries, was transported to Mass General Hospital for additional treatment.

After a complete and thorough review of the facts and circumstances surrounding the incident, officers were able to identify the individual responsible for the stabbing. Today, Thursday, March 12, 21005, with assistance provided courtesy of the Braintree Police Department, Boston Police Officers located and apprehended the suspect in Braintree.

Brandon Jones, 20, of Braintree is charged with Assault & Battery by Means of a Dangerous Weapon (knife). Jones will be arraigned tomorrow in Boston Municipal Court.

Said Commissioner William Evans: “I want to extend a job well done to my officers for the skilled investigation that led to the swift arrest of the suspect responsible for last night’s stabbing.  Today’s arrest should send a strong, clear  message to any fan who attends a game in our city and thinks it’s okay to engage in the type of violent behavior on display during last night’s game. If you go to a game and hurt or harm a fellow fan, we’re going to find you and make you accountable for your actions.”
