Keeping Boston Safe: Officers Recover Assault Rifle & Contraband, Arrest One Suspect during Search Warrant

At about 12:50 PM on Thursday, March 19, 2015, members of the District B-3 (Mattapan) Drug Control Unit executed a search warrant in the area of 14 Rosseter Street, Mattapan.

After lengthy surveillance and investigation, officers were able to identify a primary suspect in a drug distribution operation. Officers applied for and were granted a search warrant for the above address. As a result of the warrant, the following were recovered:

  • One Mossberg .22 caliber assault rifle
  • Over $10,000 in US currency
  • Seventeen rounds of ammunition
  • Forty-two grams of heroin
  • Fourteen plastic bags of marijuana

The target of the investigation, 23-year-old Damion Johnson of Dorchester, was arrested and charged with Trafficking Class A Drugs (Heroin)(2nd and Subsequent Offense), Distribution of Class A Drugs (Heroin), Possession of Class D with Intent to Distribute (Marijuana), Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, and Unlawful Possession of Ammunition.
