March is Women’s History Month and an important time to remember the contributions of sworn female officers of the Boston Police Department. Pictured above are two noteworthy groups of officers.
The first is a 1933 newspaper clipping showing five of the six women appointed in 1921. Check out that title!
The second is the 1972 clock of “Hogan’s Heroines” showing the twelve women who completed their training in the early 1970s.
We salute their service!
