BPD Seeking Public’s Assistance in Identifying Occupants of a Motor Vehicle

At about 3:45 PM on Saturday, March 14, 2015, officers from District B-2 (Roxbury) responded to an outside scene for a person shot in the area of 571 Dudley Street. On arrival, officers located a male victim suffering from what appeared to be multiple gunshot wounds. The victim, suffering from life threatening injuries, was transported to Boston Medical Center where he was later pronounced deceased. The victim has since been identified as Luis Ramos, 40, of Boston.

Detectives are seeking to identify the owner or occupants of the above pictured Mercedes Benz GLK in relation to the aforementioned incident. The vehicle is dark gray, blue, or black in color with a chrome trim around the windows and on the rear bumper. The windows of the car are heavily tinted, and the vehicle has a panoramic sunroof. At the time of the incident, the vehicle was being operated by a black or black Hispanic male. The vehicle was last seen at the scene of the incident.

The Boston Police Department is actively investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident. Preliminary information indicates that the shooting may have been precipitated by a confrontation related to road rage.
