UPDATE: BPD Homicide Detectives Arrest Third Suspect Wanted in Connection to Fatal Shooting in the area of West Cottage & Dudley Streets: Today, Monday, March 9, 2015, members of the Boston Police Fugitive Apprehension Unit and U.S. Marshals Task Force located and arrested Amir Richardson, 23, of Boston and charged him in connection with the shooting death of William Davis. Richardson, who is charged with Murder, will be arraigned tomorrow in Roxbury District Court. Richardson’s arrest comes less than two weeks after the arrests of Paul Francis, 24, of Quincy and Markeese Skinner, 27, of Dorchester who were apprehended on February 26, 2015 and charged with being accessories after the fact to murder.
On Wednesday, December 17, 2014, officers responded to a call for a person shot in the area of West Cottage & Dudley Streets. On arrival, officers located a male victim suffering what appeared to be gunshot wounds. The victim, who was later pronounced deceased, was identified as William Davis, 20, of Boston.
After a complete and thorough review of the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident, detectives were able to identify one primary suspect and two accessories (Francis and Skinner) to the crime after the fact. Today, the primary suspect, Amir Richardson, 23, of Boston, was apprehended.
