Boston Police Foundation Donates Funds to the Boston Police Teen Academy

Today, Thursday, April 16, 2015, the Boston Police Foundation presented Commissioner Evans and Superintendent Lisa Holmes with a check in the amount of $13,600 earmarked for the Boston Police Teen Academy. Last year, the Teen Academy graduated 66 students but thanks to today’s generous contribution, members of the academy staff hope to add an additional ten students to this year’s Teen Academy class. The Teen Academy is a two week program that builds the relationship that exists between young people in our community and those who protect and serve them. Said Superintendent Lisa Holmes: “The added funds certainly allow us to do more great work with our Teen Academy. Bottom line, more funding means more kids and the more kids we can enroll and connect with, the better.”
