On Thursday April 16, 2015, third grade students from the Blackstone School visited with officers from District 4 (South End) as part of an ongoing effort to promote safety in the community. Students presented officers with posters they had made earlier in the week and participated in a learning exercise with the public safety message: Never Touch A Gun! During the skit the children pretended they had found a discarded firearm in the school yard. The students immediately screamed "Don't touch it!" and quickly alerted a teacher.
