Boston Police Seek Public’s Help in Efforts to Identify Person of Interest Wanted in Connection to an Indecent Assault & Battery in East Boston

At 8:05 PM on Wednesday, April 1, 2015, officers from District A-7 (East Boston) received a report relative to an indecent assault and battery on a child under 14 of years of age at the Shaw’s Supermarket at 246 Border Street in East Boston. According to the victim, the suspect (described as a white Hispanic male in his forties, approximately 5’7” tall, 175 pounds, wearing a blue-colored hat, beige-colored jacket and blue jeans) approached her and touched her indecently. The suspect was then chased out of the store and was last seen running along Lexington Street. Officers conducted a search of the area but were unable to locate the suspect.

The Boston Police Department is actively investigating the facts and circumstance surrounding this incident. Anyone with information relative to the identity of the person pictured is strongly urged to contact detectives assigned to the Sexual Assault Unit at (617) 343-4400.
