Daily Dose of Great Police Work: Lengthy Drug Investigation Nets Four Suspects, BPD Officers Seize Drugs and Money

At about 2:30 PM on Thursday, April 23, 2015, members of the City Wide Drug Control Unit executed a number of search warrants relative to an ongoing drug investigation in the areas of 44 Arbutus Street in District B-3 (Mattapan) and 140 Park Street in District C-11 (Dorchester).

In December of 2014, members of the DCU received information regarding one 53-year-old Clyde Bogle of Roxbury indicating that he was distributing illegal narcotics. Boston police officers launched an extensive investigation that, on Thursday, ultimately led officers to stop Bogle for Operating a Motor Vehicle after License Suspended/Revoked. Officers were able to execute the search warrants for Bogle and the above addresses. Officers recovered:

  • Over 32 grams of cocaine
  • Approximately 160 assorted prescription pills
  • Over $11,500 in US currency
  • Various drug paraphernalia and materials consistent with drug distribution

Bogle was arrested and charged with Trafficking Class B Drugs (Cocaine) and Trafficking Class B Drugs (2nd and Subsequent Offense). Also present and arrested during the execution of the search warrants were 41-year-old Jerome Young of Mattapan, 57-year-old William Griffin of Weymouth, and 43-year-old Tamara Johnson-Lewis of Roxbury. All were charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute Classes B, C, and E Drugs.
