UPDATE: Stolen Dog Safely Returned and Stolen Motor Vehicle Successfully Recovered

The Boston Police Department would like to thank all the members of the community for their diligent observations and our partners in the local media for their coverage of this incident which has resulted in the arrest of two suspects, the safe return of the dog and the successful recovery of the vehicle  which had been stolen at about 2:33 PM, on Thursday, April 2, 2015.

Earlier this morning, at about 6:51 AM on Saturday, April 4, 2015, members of the Haverhill Police Department located and recovered the stolen motor vehicle and arrested two individuals in connection to the stolen car.

As for the stolen dog named Pooh, the 10 year-old Shih Tzu Poodle mix was turned in earlier today by a Good Samaritan at the City of Boston Animal Shelter on Mahler Road in Roslindale. To that Good Samaritan, we say: "Job well done."

The Boston Police Department again would like to recognize and thank our partners at the Haverhill Police Department for their efforts in affecting the arrest of the two suspects. Additional charges in this case will be finalized and forthcoming at the conclusion of the investigation being conducted by District E-5 detectives.
