Making a Difference: BPD Officers Mentor Roxbury Youth

On Saturday, April 4, 2015, Youth & Police in Partnership (YPP) and the Boston Police Department hosted Mentor/Mentee Day.  The day was filled with fun activities and a time for police officers from Boston and Transit PD, EMS, and civilian members from the BPD to be a mentor the youth of YPP.

YPP is a program of the Children’s Services of Roxbury in collaboration with the Boston Police Department. The program seeks to improve the relationship between inner-city youth, residents, and the police department, and to address community problems through roundtable discussions, speaker presentations, and events like Mentor/Mentee Day.
