Another Tip From Concerned Community Member Leads BPD to Locate And Impound Several Dirt Bikes in Dorchester

At about 9:00 AM on Friday May 29, 2015, officers assigned to District C-11 (Dorchester) responded to 52 Stonehurst Street after receiving information from a community member that several dirt bikes were being improperly stored in the rear of that location. Officers have received numerous complaints about large groups of motorcycles, dirt bikes and scooters being operated recklessly in the area.  With the assistance of the Boston Fire Department, Code Enforcement officers and members of the Boston Police Auto Theft Unit, officers were able to remove and secure several dirt bikes and scooters in addition to several motor components from the property.  Commissioner Evans has encouraged the community to inform the police if they are aware of any locations bikes like these are being kept.  The Boston Police Department would like to thank the concerned citizen who made the right choice and helped to make their community a safer place.
