Statement from Boston Police Commissioner William Evans on the Shooting Death of NYPD Officer Brian Moore:

Today, May, 4, 2015, the New York City Police Department announced the line of duty death of New York City Police Officer Brian Moore. As a show of solidarity in honor of Officer Moore, the men and women of the Boston Police Department will wear the black mourning band through the duration of Officer Moore's funeral. In addition, all flags on Boston Police facilities will be lowered to half-staff for that timeline.

Our thoughts, prayers and deepest condolences continue to be with Officer Moore's family, friends and fellow NYPD officers.
