BPD in the News: Boston Globe Highlights BPD’s Involvement in Boston's Youth Soccer Leagues

Thanks to the Boston Globe for highlighting the BPD’s involvement in youth soccer leagues in Boston. Carolyn MacNeil of the Boston Police Department’s Neighborhood Watch Program and Caroline Foscato of The Base started the free South End Soccer league in 2007 and, today, Boston Police Detective Anthony Davis, who played soccer in the All Dorchester Sports League and later in high school and college, runs the 10 year-old Roxbury Youth Soccer League. Said MacNeil: “By virtue of all the cultures and languages we have in this city, we need something that connects us, and there is nothing better than soccer."
