BPD in the News: Boston Officials Excited about Opportunities for Youth Soccer in the City

Boston Police Commissioner William Evans and the Boston Police Department are excited that new soccer programs are popping up in the inner-city, as highlighted in this Boston Globe article by Omar Sacirbey. Thanks to volunteers like Boston Police Detective Anthony Francis and Carolyn MacNeil from the BPD’s Neighborhood Watch Program, inner-city children are now benefitting from free and low-cost soccer programs that were once confined to Boston suburbs. Mayor Walsh is a huge supporter of these programs as well, as he posed with Ms. MacNeil and the kids from the Mattapan Youth Soccer Program for a fun photo op.
