Today, Saturday, June 13, 2015, Commissioner William Evans and Mayor Martin Walsh announced the arrest of two juvenile male suspects in connection to the shooting death of 16 year-old Jonathan Dos Santos of Dorchester.
Said Commissioner Evans: “I want to recognize the tremendous work done by the men and women of the Boston Police Homicide Unit that led to the arrest of two suspects within four days of the incident. I’d also like to recognize and give credit to all those who aided and assisted this investigation. We asked community members to step up and help us identify those responsible for this senseless murder and they did. And, for their help, we are grateful.”
Detectives arrested two suspects, a 16 year-old male of Dorchester and a 14 year-old of Dorchester, and charged both with Delinquent to wit: Murder. Both suspects will be arraigned in Dorchester District Court on Monday, June 15, 2015.
At about 7:52PM, on Wednesday, June 10, 2015, officers assigned to District B-3 (Mattapan) responded to a radio call for shots fired in the area of Washington and Fuller Streets in Dorchester. On arrival, officers located a 16 year-old male suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The victim, suffering from life threatening injuries, was transported to Boston Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased. The victim was later identified as 16 year-old Jonathan Dos Santos of Dorchester.
