Commissioner Evans & Chief Gross Lend a Hand to the Flag for Hope Project

Commissioner Evans & Chief Gross Lend a Hand to the Flag for Hope Project: Today, Thursday, July 2, 2015, Commissioner Evans and Chief Gross stopped by Copley Square to lend a hand - or rather a handprint - to the Flag for Hope Project. The Commissioner and Chief were asked to add their handprints to an American flag to be flown high a’top the Freedom Tower in New York City. When the flag is completed, it will have amassed 5,000 handprints assembled in such a way as to resemble the American flag. Once finished, the flag – as a symbol of peace, goodwill and humanity - will officially be flown on September 11, 2015. To learn more about the project, please visit: FlagforHope.com.
