On Thursday, August 13, 2015, Deputy Superintendent Colm Lydon of the Boston Police Department completed the Executive Leaders Program at Naval Postgraduate School’s Center for Homeland Defense and Security.
The goal of the Executive Leaders Program is to enhance senior leaders’ capacity to develop policies and strategies while strengthening working relationships across the jurisdictional boundaries of regions, agencies, local-state-tribal-federal governments and the private sector. Over a 9-month period, participants studied the interdisciplinary concepts comprising homeland security.
Deputy Lydon was chosen to attend because of his extensive experience and recognized leadership in the disciplines that address homeland security issues and concerns, as well as his abilities as a team leader and his involvement in the leadership and management of the Boston Police Department.
The BPD is proud to be represented on a national level by such a distinguished and knowledgeable officer as Colm Lydon. Congratulations on your achievement, Deputy!
