One Less Gun: BPD Officers Arrest Two, Recover Firearm, Drugs and Cash After Executing Search Warrant in Dorchester

At about 3:30 PM on Wednesday August 26, 2015, officers assigned to the City Wide Drug Control Unit executed a search warrant as part of an ongoing investigation at 3 Downey Court in Dorchester.  Officers located and recovered a loaded Heritage Manufacturing Inc .40 caliber handgun, several small bags of marijuana and $1,040 in U.S. Currency.  As a result, Kenny Mondesir, 24, of Dorchester, was placed in custody without incident and will be arraigned in Dorchester District Court on charges of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Improper Storage of a Firearm and Possession with Intent to Distribute Class D Drugs.

While on scene, officers also arrested Michael Carelton, 29, of Mattapan on an unrelated warrant out of Brockton  for Operating a Motor Vehicle After Revocation or Suspension.
