At about 5:57 PM on Saturday, July 11, 2015, officers from District C-11 (Dorchester) responded to a call for a person shot in the area of 87 Bailey Street in Dorchester. Upon arrival, officers learned that two victims had been transported to Boston area hospitals with apparent gunshot wounds. One of the victims, identified as 20-year-old Jean C. Louis, was later pronounced deceased.
On Friday, August 28, 2015, the BPD Homicide Unit, in conjunction with the Fugitive Unit, the Citywide Drug Control Unit, and the Youth Violence Strike Force, placed 19-year-old Michael Johnson-McNeil and 21-year-old Bobby Robinson-Gilmere, both of Dorchester, under arrest for Accessory after the Fact of Murder in relation to the above incident. The suspects will be arraigned in Dorchester District Court.
Officers also charged 21-year-old Tyshawn Periera of Mattapan, already in custody on unrelated charges, with Murder in relation to the above incident.
