UPDATE: Suspects Wanted in Connection to Several Commercial Robberies Apprehended in Dorchester

 

UPDATE: Suspects Wanted in Connection to Several Commercial Robberies Have Been Apprehended: The Boston Police Department recently asked for the public’s help in an effort to identify the suspects wanted in connection to several commercial robberies occurring over the past three weeks between August 21, 2015 and September 9, 2015 and, today, the BPD is pleased to announce that the two individuals being sought are now in police custody. Special thanks to the BPD’s Special Investigations Unit, the BPD’s Youth Violence Strike Force and the Brookline Police Department for the coordinated and shared efforts in bringing this investigation to a successful conclusion. 

Both suspects were located and apprehended last night in the area of Blue Hill Ave and Vesta Street in Dorchester. 

Officers arrested Marion Griffin, 44, of Boston and charged him with Armed Robbery.   

Officers arrested Gerald Sibley, 34, of Boston and charged him with Armed Robbery, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Unlawful Possession of Ammunition. 

A search of Silbey enabled officers to see and take possession of a silver-colored firearm. The investigation remains active and more charges could be pending.
