BPD in the Community: The BPD Explorers Meet with Members of the Army National Guard

On Friday September 18, 2015, the Boston Police Explorers from Madison Park High School met up with members of the Massachusetts Army National Guard Military Police.  The Explorers got an up close look at a Humvee and learned a little about what it takes to become a Military Police Officer.  The Explorers Program currently has 81 participants, 99% of which are minority students, who learn about constitutional law, criminal law and motor vehicle law while participating in weekly dialogues with Boston Police Officers.  If you are a resident of the city, 14-18 years of age and currently attending high school you can email Sergeant Silta of the District B-2 (Roxbury) Community Service Office at Samil.silta@pd.boston.gov for details about joining the Police Explorers.
