BPD Officers Respond to a Real Call for Person with a Fake Gun in South Boston

At about 8:13 PM on Wednesday, September 23, 2015, officers assigned to District C-6 (South Boston) responded to a radio call for a person with a gun at 20 South Point Drive.  Officers arrived on scene and observed a male suspect pointing what appeared to be an assault rifle equipped with a silencer out of a second floor window. Officers made entry to the apartment and recovered what was later determined to be a Sage International BB Rifle. The suspect told the officers he had been firing the gun out of his window for fun. There were no reports of injuries or damage to property. The suspect has not been charged with an offense at this time.
