Three-year-old Boy Fighting Brain Cancer Made Honorary Boston Police Officer

Yesterday, Declan John Higgins, a little 3-year-old boy fighting brain cancer, became an honorary Boston Police Officer. After a long day of cancer treatment at Dana Farber, Declan received an escort from his heroes, Boston Police Officers, to District B-2 (Roxbury) where he was welcomed like a king and presented with a Special Citation. Although this was surely a very special day for Declan, it was equally special for all the officers who were able to see his brave, bright smile!! We salute you, Honorary Officer Higgins!
